Alarm sounding right now?

Stop using water and leave the panel closed. See emergency steps and who to call first.

Emergency line open 24/7. Call (251) 850-8031. Call any hour to report an urgent problem. How soon someone can come depends on the job and is confirmed on the call. We do not promise a visit at any hour.

Use the form for service requests you can wait to hear back about. For sewage backing up or overflowing, call your sewer utility or pump service provider now.

Form of request

Phone or email, whichever you answer faster.

Light steady or flashing, any sound, water around the lid, and when it started.

Add your town and sewer utility (optional)

Use the form on this page to request grinder pump, sewage ejector pump or residential lift station service anywhere in Baldwin or Mobile County, Alabama. The more you can tell us about the panel, the more useful the first visit is.

If the alarm is sounding right now, read the emergency page first. It covers the next few minutes and names the utilities that want to hear from you before anyone else.

What happens next

  1. You send thisYour name, a way to reach you and what the pump or panel is doing. That is all we need to start.
  2. We follow upWe’ll discuss the next step and confirm a visit time if one is needed.
  3. Before any repairYou are shown the failed part and told what it does before anything is agreed.

Some utilities own or install the pump, so it is worth checking before you pay anyone. Check who owns your pump.

Which utility are you on?

The rules change by utility. Pick yours to see who owns the pump and who to call first.

What to include

Engraving of a gentleman in a wing chair, speaking into a candlestick telephone.
Plate XXXV. His Grace receives correspondence. Kindly mention the panel.

None of this is required, but each item saves a question later.

  • Your town and, if you know it, your sewer utility (BCSS, Gulf Shores Utilities, Fairhope, Riviera, North Baldwin, Loxley, Orange Beach, Daphne, MAWSS).
  • The brand name on the outside of the control panel, if it is readable without opening anything.
  • What the panel is doing: red light steady or flashing, horn on or silenced, any amber or Trouble light.
  • How long it has been doing it, and whether it started after rain, a storm or a power outage.
  • Whether you have photos of the panel face, the lid area and any wet spots in the yard. We will ask for them when we reply.
  • For ejector pumps and lift stations: where the basin is and what drains into it.

Before you send it, check who owns your pump

Some utilities in these two counties maintain the pump themselves, and on BCSS a new pump must come from BCSS. The lookup tool answers by town in a few seconds, and the utility pages quote the actual rule. If the answer is that your utility handles it, you have just saved a service call.

Questions people ask

Do you need to know which sewer utility I am on?

It helps a great deal, but it is not required. If you do not know, send your address and we will work it out from the utility maps before the visit.

Can I send photos?

Yes, and please do, when we reply to your request. The form takes text only. A clear photo of the panel face with the lights visible, and one of the lid area, often tells us the brand and the fault before anyone drives out.
